McCrae Training Limited Recognises Longest Serving Team Member and One of the Industry’s Most Respected Figures

One of our team members, William Welsh (Bill), will soon be celebrating his ninth anniversary with McCrae Training Limited. Two years into his early retirement in 2012 Bill joined the team as our Trainer.

As the company continued to make a number of bold and successful business changes, Bill’s role began to expand significantly. This saw him working with all incoming staff, managing and developing new training course materials in the design of water distribution processes and mentoring staff as they progressed through McCrae Training business.

Coming from a background working with industry leaders such as Scottish Water and – with a degree in Civil Engineering – Bill is well-known and respected within the sector and is now our longest serving team member. He is recognised on a national level as being highly qualified and experienced in water distribution systems with excellent capability to design water networks. An accolade which has fast seen Bill become one of the most recognised and respected figures in the water industry to obtain water network design training.

Bill’s dedication and commitment, to not only his role within McCrae Training but also the team around him, has seen him excel and pass on his industry experience for the last nine years. Bill has built his role – and the team within it – to a far bigger function than ever expected and delivers an extensive range of programmes including Scottish Water DOMS, National Water Hygiene and Water Industry Modern Apprentice Assessor activities.
