As way of an update, McCrae Training as part of our Water Industry Skills Academy for Scotland has been working on a number of initiatives during lockdown.
We have the pleasure to now be working with Glasgow Caledonian University and will be a guest speaker on 29th July online Seminar where the Graduate Apprenticeship Programmes in Civil Engineering will be the topic.
GCU’s Graduate Apprenticeship is delivered using a blended model, with classroom-based and distance learning using GCU’s virtual learning environment. The programme syllabus includes: Fluid Mechanics & Thermodynamics, Structural Mechanics, Construction Materials, Geotechnics, Design of Structures, Public Health, Water & Wastewater Treatment and Water Resource Management.

Glasgow Caledonian University’s Civil Engineering Graduate Apprenticeship Seminar – Wednesday 29th July 2pm – 3pm
Hosted by GCU’s Institute of University to Business Education, this interactive seminar will showcase the university’s established Graduate Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering. We will be joined by our Programme Leader, Dr Anita Meldrum, with guest speakers Scott McCrae from McCrae Training and Sabine McLean from ICE. A Q&A session will follow.
GCU is actively recruiting for the next intake of the programme starting on 5 October, 2020. This session is ideal for employers who are looking to develop those who are new in role or to upskill experienced professionals, with our flexible entry options through Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience. This part time, work based programme is fully funded by Skills Development Scotland.
