At McCrae Training Ltd we are continuing to follow the UK and Scottish Government as well as the NHS guidelines. Our team continue home working and are set up to offer a broad range of training and development services for the Utility Sector.
In terms of adapting to the challenges of COVID-19 UK lockdown, McCrae Training have obtained approval from EUSR and Scottish Water to deliver a range of Water Industry courses via CBL (Computer Based Learning) Platforms.
The specific courses we have approval to deliver to date include the following:
• National Water Hygiene
• Scottish Water DOMS (Distribution Operations & Maintenance Strategy) Modules 1-12 and Module 13.
• SHEA Water
• SHEA Telecoms
A summary of our approach to CBL Water Industry Course delivery as follows:
1. Candidate booked onto a course with MTL – We will check at this stage if the candidate already has an EUSR registration number, any additional support requirements etc. Where a candidate does not have an EUSR registration number the candidate will be allocated a new number via EUSR pre-training delivery and digital photograph will be required.
2. A pre-CBL training session will be undertaken by one of our qualified trainers to cover main principles of the course, approach to CBL and explain candidates will be assessed at the end of each CBL session and have up to 2 attempts to pass the training programme. This applies to National Water Hygiene and SW DOMS Modules 1-12. For SHEA Water and SHEA Telecoms the course is delivered via Microsoft Teams and the assessment only via e-assessment.
3. On completion of the pre-CBL session candidates will be issued with a link to the CBL training platform and log in details (NWH & SW DOMS Modules 1-12). Each candidate will log in and commencing the CBL training session followed by e-assessment.
4. We have set up a post-CBL support facility, therefore if any candidate requires any further information or support this can be requested, and support provided to ensure post-delivery questions asked / answered and comprehensive close out of training events.
We have also set up a comprehensive and newly enhanced e-learning training platform on our website providing a broad range of general H&S & front-line management courses. Our e-learning training programmes are currently discounted by 15%.
