A Modern Apprenticeship is a training and assessment programme. The process builds up candidates' knowledge and competence while learning on the job.

There is no set duration for a Modern Apprenticeship. They typically last between 12 - 18 months.

Once successfully completed, the candidate will receive an SQA Certificate, MA Certificate, and potentially an EUSR Card if appropriate to the subject.

During their Apprenticeship, the candidates will build up their knowledge while completing hands-on training and experience. The Apprentice will complete a variety of things during their time including an in-depth induction, frequent in-person reviews, portfolio builds and site visits. This is all completed to ensure the candidate is fully competent.
