Our Qualifications

We operate training and qualifications to the highest possible industry standards, with our centres approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), Certificate Awarding Body for the Water Industry (CABWI), along with City & Guilds. A number of our courses are Energy and Utility Skills Register (EUSR) accredited and endorsed, offering the UK’s largest range of accredited off-site technical training in water main design and construction. We offer a wide range of awareness-level training that is authored by industry experts, and where content is more technical, we always strive to deliver programmes accredited by the most authoritative body.

Ethics & Social Responsibility

At our centres, our team operate in line with strict systems, the Trainers Charter and the industry Code of Ethics. We take pride in being at the forefront in the field of equality and diversity, and also regularly provide CPD for our trainers and assessors. We firmly believe in training and education in businesses being fundamental to improving and developing our local communities. Within our business, we actively recruit modern apprentices to fill roles within our departments, and constantly support their development pathway.

McCrae Training work with local charities, supporting them in any way we can. We also support local schools and colleges by attending career fayres to promote career pathways in the UK Utility Sectors.

Data Protection

The nature of our business can often necessitate the gathering of large volumes of data. We have many years of experience complying with UK and awarding body data protection requirements, and have undertaken extensive compliance audits since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in 2018 to affirm our commitment to protect the data of others. Our systems and operations now include all the required consents, registrations, approvals, and security measures to ensure our clients and candidates are well protected.

QHSE

Given the complexity of providing quality multi-disciplinary training, this demands strictly defined standards and accurate execution. To achieve this we maintain and regularly update policies, procedures, and have implemented an integrated management system that involves regular standardisation, spot checks, and internal audits. Our system has been externally certified to ISO 9001 (2015) requirements and standards and we are fully committed to continual improvement.

Our system is integral in ensuring our training and consultancy is delivered safely whether that be in our classroom in our practical training area, or out on your sites. We pride our business on providing the practical hands-on training that others cannot, meeting the needs of the industry and our clients, but we will never compromise on delivering safely.
